La formulation est ajust\u00e9e conform\u00e9ment au guide <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Les bact\u00e9ries Gram positives sont inhib\u00e9es par la fuchsine et le sulfite de sodium, tandis que les organismes Gram n\u00e9gatifs pr\u00e9sentent une bonne croissance. Les bact\u00e9ries capables de m\u00e9taboliser le lactose forment des colonies rouges \u00e0 rouge fonc\u00e9 en pr\u00e9sence de fuchsine. De plus, la temp\u00e9rature d\u2019incubation \u00e9lev\u00e9e favorise le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019E. coli. Pour la majorit\u00e9 des souches d\u2019E. coli, cette r\u00e9action est particuli\u00e8rement marqu\u00e9e, entra\u00eenant la cristallisation de la fuchsine et donnant l\u2019aspect m\u00e9tallique vert caract\u00e9ristique.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Apr\u00e8s humidification avec 3,0 \u00e0 3,5 ml d\u2019eau st\u00e9rile, distill\u00e9e ou d\u00e9min\u00e9ralis\u00e9e, les milieux sont imm\u00e9diatement pr\u00eats \u00e0 l\u2019emploi. Le niveau d\u2019humidit\u00e9 optimal est atteint lorsqu\u2019un l\u00e9ger exc\u00e8s d\u2019eau est visible autour du tampon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">La pr\u00e9sence d\u2019azoture de sodium inhibe efficacement la croissance des bact\u00e9ries autres que les ent\u00e9rocoques, garantissant une s\u00e9lectivit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e.
